Our technologies allow a 5x increase in output of clean water,
in comparison to other systems
ICT Management Ltd is a Moscow-based Russian company, its Foghunter project's production facilities are located in Russia. The company develops and manufactures equipment for collecting water from fog in coastal "fog deserts" around the world, wherein fog drip supplies the majority of moisture needed by animal and plant life but below optimum levels for humans.
We have a dream - a practical solution
Our new technology can provide clean water for millions of people living in Africa, Middle East and Latin America. Worldwide, one in three people do not have access to safe drinking water. In Africa for example, water scarcity is reaching dangerous levels, as fossil aquifers store old water that is consumed but not replenished. Around 3.6 billion people struggle to get enough water to meet their needs for at least one month every year, according to the World Meteorological Organization.
Our equipment is ideally suited for deserts, where the nearby sea creates fog. There are 4 major coastal fog desert zones in the world - the Namib Desert (Namibia), Arabian Peninsula Deserts (Oman, Yemen, Saudi Arabia), Atacama Desert (Chile) and Baja California Deserts (Mexico). The main sources of water in these dry areas are dense coastal fogs. For example, the Namib Desert experiences around 180 days of fog every year.
To develop cooperation with African companies, Igor Suzdaltsev, CEO of ICT Management took part in the Russia-Africa 2023 Economic Forum (St. Petersburg, July 27-28, 2023).
Our solution is based on Igor Suzdaltsev’s patent RU 2755483 for his invention of a Mobile complex for collecting water from fog. This invention is based on newest version of Peltier thermoelectric cooler (TEC) that allows collection of water from fog by a condensation process. We use aluminum cylinders with very low temperatures up to -35°C (-31°F) on the cooling side of the Peltier element. This allows an increase in the outflow of clean water by 5 times in comparison to other systems.
The commercial name for this equipment is Foghunter.
Foghunter as a fog collection technology was presented on 25 July 2023 at the 9th International Conference on Fog, Fog Collection, and Dew (Fort Collins, Colorado, USA).
In order to develop our scientific knowledge on coastal fog deserts and find local partners, we are going to hold annual Coastal Fog Deserts Conference (CFDC) in cities near such deserts
